As I reflect on last weeks sermon for Father’s Day in our current 1 Thessalonians series (2:10-13), I can’t help but be challenged to ponder “How does my character display truth, and even more importantly the God I love to my children?” Our children are always watching & absorbing, sifting through reality from what they see & experience. What kind of message does it send to them when my character doesn’t line up with the Biblical truths I desperately want them to know? That they are loved. They have purpose. They are valuable image-bearers. That Jesus loves them & desires a relationship with them. We have to shed off harmful mindsets & culturally norms, as parents & grandparents, to really love like Jesus. Mindsets that seek control rather than connection. Mindsets that seek comfort over true communion. We must learn to love even our littlest of neighbors, the ones that share the roof over our heads, as ourselves. And even deeper still, as Jesus loves them. What is one small way you want to tangibly show God-love to your children, grandkids, nieces, nephews, or even godchildren this week? - Kristine M.

Our Camp season will be officially kicking off next week with Leadership Camp up on Cedar Mountain! Teen Camp (ages 14-18) is July 1-5 Junior Camp (ages 8-11) is July 8-12 Middle School Camp (11-14) is July 15-19 The cost is $50 per child, which covers all food, activities, a t-shirt, and a place to stay. We had a wonderful day on Saturday with the ladies doing some fun crafts and fellowshipping with one another!

Thanksgiving style meal & a night of praise to continue our day of fellowship & celebrations.

Special Church service with guest speaker pastor Tim Miles from Southland Bible Church. God laid it on his heart to plant a sister church & 25 years later God has grown that leading into a thriving, beautiful body of believers here in La Verkin, Utah. So thankful he could share in this special day with us & give us some pieces of our history.

It’s our 25th anniversary today!! Come celebrate with us!! 10:30 am worship service! 4:00pm Friendsgiving meal! And a thanksgiving night of praise and worship!!!

Kids club TOMORROW 10/17 at 3:30pm at the church!

Girls and ladies of ALL AGES! “For His Glory” bible study will start up Tomorrow 10/16 from 6-7pm at the McDowell home! This study will be every Tuesday until Nov 12th. This study will be specifically taught for both young and old, so mom’s & grandma’s bring your daughters and granddaughters! We’ll see you tomorrow! *DM for more details or address to the McDowell home!

The Pastor Appreciation Ice Cream Social is Tonight at 6pm! The location has CHANGED due to weather. We will now be meeting at Mountain View Bible Church. Hope to see you all there & spread the word!
